Anne has been practising the graceful martial art of Tai Chi for over 20 years and teaches a class every Friday here at Pioneer. These classes are suitable for anyone wishing to improve their coordination, balance, breathing, stress levels and fitness both physically and mentally. Tai Chi promotes health, mobile joints and muscles without over tension and strain. People feel calmer and more relaxed when training.

You will be warmed up followed by a set of flowing exercises called Qigong which encourage nice, easy breathing and gentle full body workout. This is followed by learning the Tai Chi form and broadsword form. Anne is also trained as an Alexander Technique teacher which specialises in good poise and balance in all activity, therefore she keeps a watchful eye on alignment and correct posture throughout the class.
